The Previous System

This property belongs to a long-standing client of London Roofing. We have been maintaining their roof for many years & have carried out a number of slate repairs. The client reached the point where they decided to renew this section of the roof due to its age.

The Solution

We erected a scaffold to provide safe access. The existing roof coverings were stripped off & cleared from site, this included felt, batten, slates & lead valley gutter. We installed new Tyvek breathable felt, 50mm x 25mm timber battens & supplied & fitted a new code 5 lead valley. We then installed new 600mm x 300mm Spanish slates. A new code 5 lead ridge was fitted, as well as new code 4 lead cover flashings.
